Next, it’s powered by a 300 hp Yamaha Engine, we can cruise at 40+mph and meet at top speeds of 55 mph. Likewise, as far as the fishing goes… Moreover, prefer catching Grouper, Snapper, Amberjack, Kingfish, Cobia, Tuna, Mahi, Porgy, Permit, Pompano and the Gulf reefs and wrecks are where they hang out. Equally important, the Rod Bender fishing and cruising boat is made for the Gulf of Mexico!

I have totally updated this 24′ 
Wellcraft with a 2019 300HP Yamaha Four Stroke engine. Henceforth, the electronics – fish finder, radio, gps, satellite phone, epirb (emergency beacon), pro-marine battery backup charger are all the latest technology. In case I lose radio transmitting capabilities, I always carry a Satellite Phone which is a must when going far offshore. No matter where I am, I can always reach the Coast Guard to call for help. Can other captains say the same.
Further, I’ve replaced all the USCG required life jackets with new Type 1’s. Secondly, Rod holders for the 12 fishing poles, a bait well, wash down, ice coolers, two large holding tanks for the fresh catch of the day and inside the cabin you can relax after a hard days fishing.
My fishing gear reflects some of the latest technological advances in the fishing industry. In most cases, I’ve replaced monofilament line with Power Pro braid. Consequently, this means to my customers is that I can employ extremely light tackle to catch big fish.
The new fish finding electronics give me the ability to pinpoint territorial bottom fish like grouper and snapper. This new gear will mark even fast moving pelagic like kingfish or tuna. With top-notch equipment, I’ll find the fish but you and the kids do the hard work, reeling ‘em in!
We fish four anglers but there is ample room for 5 anglers with 1 observer to rotate fishing. Four anglers is all I can keep up with. The Rod Bender is truly an outstanding offshore fishing platform.
